Abstract
Annuloplasty is the commonly used treatment in a patient with low back pain and sciatica. The annuloplasty using laser through endoscope has been implemented to relieve the discogenic pain by denervating posterior annular nerve fiber. Transforaminal epidural endoscopic laser annuloplasty (TELA) is a complementing method of annuloplasty with function of decreasing the volume of extruded disc materials. In addition, it can minimize the injury of adjacent normal tissues by transforaminal approach, and by using the side firing laser. However, a few cases are reported until now with TELA. In present report, we describe a case whose back pain and numbness of both feet were improved after TELA.
